From humble beginnings in Whitestone, New York to a contemporary global brand, the Fuller® Tool name stands for quality, innovation and customer satisfaction

LATE 1930s

Birth of a brand

Bernie Fuller begins a small wholesale and manufacturing company in Whitestone, near New York City, producing screwdrivers, nut drivers and wood chisels

1944

Arriving on Canadian soil

Brothers Stanley and Lloyd Davis launch the Canadian operation at a production facility near Montreal, manufacturing and selling a tool line similar to their U.S. counterpart

1950

Product line diversification

In response to a growing post-war demand, the company broadens and diversifies its well-established product line by adding an extensive range of pliers and adjustable wrenches

1970s

A decade of rapid growth

Fuller Tool quickly expands its product lineup through this period of unprecedented market opportunity to include over 1,500 items, such as sockets, hammers, hack saws, blades, knives and power tool accessories

1990s

Centralization and strength

Fuller Tool moves its corporate head office to Montreal, reaffirming its status as a world-class manufacturer and retailer of superior-quality hand tools. Operations in the United States are consolidated in these new facilities, ensuring a seamless “one-stop” customer experience

2000 TO PRESENT

Leadership and innovation

Leveraging in-depth knowledge of the hand tool industry, including the manufacturing process, the company acquires the right to make tools for several high-profile retailers under their respective brand names

Fuller® Tool further broadens its consumer offerings in Canada by becoming the exclusive representative of two U.S.-based makers of specialty tools

To this day Fuller® Tool continues to develop and produce under the Fuller name innovative, high-quality hand tools that are the first choice of professionals and homeowners worldwide
